Is It Worth It To Get Canva Pro?
Canva allows you to create beautiful designs with your team. Use Canva’s drag-and-drop feature and layouts to design, share and print business cards, logos, presentations and more!
I (Winston) have been using Canva for a number of years now. I started with the free version which is really easy and fun to use.
Since then I have created hundreds of things inside of Canva using just the free version!
I am not a graphic design pro, but it makes me feel like one 🙂
Canva Templates: Professional Designs Right Out Of The Box
There are tons of free templates inside so you can choose one you like and start editing it.
Nothing to download, it’s all cloud-based which I really like because I hate bogging down my computers with apps.
I also like that all my designs are available as I switch between my different computers.
I have used Canva to create artwork for the FindYourFlowPodcast.com, the Find Your Flow® blog, and for book covers in the Find Your Flow® Book series.
The blog post artwork is simple to design, and then I just copy it and reuse it as a template to design the next blog post art. This makes it a super fast and easy way to create branded content without having to reinvent the wheel each time.
Notice how in the above examples everything stays the same except the picture and the title. BOOM! Easy!
Creating Podcast Artwork is just a easy. Notice how I just duplicate the file, then swap out the photo and title. I’m done in just a couple minutes.
I also use Canva for designing book covers. I use the same template, and I just change the background image and the subtitle. I have several different templates, each with a different accent color. It is really fast and efficient for me to crank out a beautiful book cover in minutes!
In fact, Canva inspired simplified the process for me so much, that it inspired me to set a goal to publish 50 books in one year!
Crazy, right?
Well, I decided that I needed all the help that I could get. I needed to invest a bit more money into upgrading my tools, and Canva was first on the list.
I upgraded to Canva Pro because when I am publishing books through Amazon KDP, the Amazon self-publishing platform, I have to make different sizes for the paperback and hardcover books.
I used to just do a workaround to change sizes of the covers, but that got cumbersome. I figured, to publish one book a week, I really couldn’t be futzing with that kind of thing anymore.
Canva Pro is only about $12-$13 a month, so its not a huge investment, but you know I like to watch the bottom line.
So, how much time was I wasting resizing stuff? A lot! I decided it was worth my time and energy to invest in Canva Pro for that reason alone.
And look, Canva recently awarded me this!

Create Your Own Canva Templates
As added bonuses, I can save my stuff as templates and I can save my own “brand templates.”
These include my brand color palettes and font palettes. This saves me a bunch of time and energy.
It also gives me the ability to add team members.
They could then have access to my templates so everything the create would be very on brand, very easily.
All in all, I’ve been using Canva Pro for a couple of months now and I will almost definitely keep it. It helps me be way more productive!
And you know I’m all about productivity and workflow!
Canva Pro lets me flow through the creation of my book covers and other random graphic design projects that always come up as an entrepreneur.
