Solar
Solar power is a great way to generate electricity for your home or office. How do you know if it’s right for you?
The best way is to speak with a rep to get an idea of how many solar panels you would need, what would be the cost, what are you currently spending on electricity, what would be your potential savings.
In some areas, you may qualify for certain promotional savings or even tax rebates. Always consult your tax professional.
We worked with Tom and he was very informative and helped us figure out how we could save money and become more energy independent, which is very appealing to me personally. Coming from California where they are trying ban gas stoves, electricity was almost becoming mandatory.
Now that we live in Texas, we live in an all electric home. The whole neighborhood is all electric because the cost to run gas lines under, over, or through the nearby lakes and streams would have been cost prohibitive for the developer.
So we were getting pretty nervous about our rising electric bills.
AND, there are more and more people moving out here, so the strain on the power grid is only going to get worse.
AAANDD, one thing we learned from California, (we had solar out there too), was that as more and more households get off the grid, the electric companies raise rates to the existing clients to cover their losses, so it is kind of like the sooner you get on solar, the sooner you start saving and paying of your system. And if you are looking at it from a financial/cash-flow type of perspective, if you qualify for the tax incentives, you maybe able to pay down your system quicker, or use that money to pay off other high interest debt and save money that way too.
That’s what we are doing. We should be getting a bunch of money back in tax credits that we will use to pay off my wife’s car, some credit cards, our hot tub 🙂 and cut our overall household expenses by $750+/month and have our electricity costs be protected from going up.
We found a local company that for $15/month flat fee will buy electricity from us during the day and sell it back to us at night for the same price. We are doing this for now because we didn’t buy a battery, although at some point we might. Who knows what the future holds? We are living in wild times. So for us this made sense, but I know it’s not for everyone.
So if you are even considering it, I would suggest you set up an appointment for a free consultation.
We did, then we didn’t buy the first time because we weren’t sure it made sense for us or if we were going to stay in this house.
A few months later, we knew that we are going to stay in this house and we wanted to get the tax breaks and incentives before they are gone and before our electric bill goes any higher. Might as well start paying off our system is what we figured.
So if you are even thinking about going solar, it’s worth an hour or so of your time to chat with a pro. It’s no obligation, no pressure. If you are ready to speak with an expert and get a personalized consultation about what solar can do for you, please choose your state below and fill out the form and a representative will set you up with a free, no-obligation consultation.
Please note, this is the company that we used for solar on our own home. That’s why I’m recommending them! Since we were so happy with their service and our system, I teamed up with them, so now I have a business relationship with Zuna, so if you decide to use them for your solar, it does help support me and the Find Your Flow® cause! But don’t worry, it doesn’t cost you anything extra, they pay me out of their marketing budget.

What do solar panels look like when you go with Zuna? Well, here are some examples from some of their happy customers in Virginia…
I will be creating a case study or two around why we got solar here in Texas, and why we got it when we lived in California, so stay tuned!
