Motivational Books to Live Your Best Life Now!
Here is a list of my top 10 all time favorite motivational books and inspirational books!
But, first a warning…these are highly subjective!
What motivates me might be different than what motivates YOU!
Also, I have cleverly plugged some of my own books into the list! Yes, how self-promotional.
That’s okay because I truly believe in them and their ability to motivate and inspire you. That’s why I published them!
So without further ado…
10.) The Secret
One of my all time favorite movies! I’ve watched it about a dozen times. I haven’t read the book as many times, but I have several copies scattered about the house and occasionally pick up a copy and start reading.
It always reminds me of some exciting thing that gets me instantly fired up and ready to go for it!
This is the book that brought the Law Of Attraction to the general public.
But the LOA is only part of it, you gotta take action!
This book (and movie) inspire me to go out and work toward the things that I am attracting.
This book is super powerful as it brings a scientific study of natural ability vs. grit.
Who wins out in the long run? The person who is “naturally gifted?” Or the person who is dedicated for the long run?
You can probably guess by the name what the answer is.
How is that motivational or inspirational?
Because its easy to get excited about something. But STAYING motivated? Not always so easy.
That’s where grit comes in.
If you started something and feel your motivation waning, this may be the shot in the arm (or kick in the pants!) that you need to keep you moving!
If you haven’t started that thing yet, and you’re looking for the motivation to get started, this can help you feel inspired to discover what that thing is that will get you fired up!
The Celestine Prophecy may not be very motivational to everyone, but for me, it really is!
There are 9 insights described in the book that teach about energy, interpersonal relationships, nature, beauty, synchronicity, coincidence, flow, and more!
It inspires me because it has had such a profound impact on my life and totally changed my understanding of so many things.
It is a fictional story imbued with real world insights that I believe everybody should be aware of and so for me personally, it gets me really motivated to practice what I learned from the book and to inspire others to do the same.
7. Daring to Dare (ON SALE! -> CLICK HERE <-)
Let’s face it: Getting motivated can sometimes be scary!
Because, what if we get so motivated to do the thing…that we actually do it?!
What are the risks?
What are the rewards?
How can we tell if it’s even worth it?
How can you tell if you even really want it?
Dare to find out!
Dare to challenge yourself to become that version of your-self that you know you can be.
Dare to dare!
This one is a classic for any entrepreneur or anybody really, that wants to enjoy more wealth and abundance.
It is highly motivating for me because one of the main principles of the book is to find and develop your “burning desire.”
When you start to believe that anything is possible, that you can truly “think and grow rich,” then that alone can be very inspirational!
Then there are specific strategies that outline the process for becoming rich.
It inspires me and helps me to remember to pay attention to what I think about and how I am using my attention to create wealth in my own life and those of others.
5.) The ON Switch
The ON Switch is a quick, almost magical way to instantly get motivated and into action!
It is a practical, action oriented book that can give you tools to get moving toward your goals and dreams.
The information in this book can be life-changing!
Imagine being able to motivate yourself in the “flip of a switch!”
That’s what this powerful book can help you do.
4.) Slacker Success
Not everybody is motivated by the same things, we all have our own idea of “success.”
So what does success look like to you?
Do you have a clear picture or is it kind of hazy?
This book will help you get more clear about how you define success so that you naturally feel inspired and ready to get stuff done!
But not in the traditional way, this is the “slacker” way to success!
It’s fun and it really works. Slack your way to success while feeling inspired and awesome.
3.) Becoming A Boss
To get motivated, sometimes we need to have our butts kicked.
Sometimes though, we need to be the one kicking butt!
Sometimes we need to take charge, get into action and become a boss!
Become a boss of your time, money, energy, life.
Becoming a boss isn’t for everyone, some people are simply too lazy.
Some people would rather just be bossed around.
But some people just need a little nudge in the right direction.
Those people should definitely check out Becoming A Boss!
2.) Get Over It!
You want to do it.
You want to be inspired.
You want to be motivated.
And yet there’s something holding you back.
Maybe a person.
Maybe a place.
Maybe you need to confront it.
Maybe you just need to Get Over It!
1.) Expert Secrets: The Underground Playbook for Creating a Mass Movement of People Who Will Pay for Your Advice
This one isn’t probably a traditional motivational book either. But again, this list is super biased.
I love this book and re-read it often.
It reminds me of things that I am working on and it inspires me to keep working on my goals and dreams.
Find Your FlowTM is a big dream that I have been chasing for 20 years so far and I feel like I am only really beginning.
This book has fantastic insights into becoming an expert in your field and using that expertise to grow your business.
I have learned a ton from this book and I often refer back to it to make sure that I am on track with some of my goals.
If you are an entrepreneur or wantapreneur, or if you want to build a following, or client base, this book is a great one!
Have you been working too hard?
Are you grinding too much?
Are you tired?
Is that really going to help you hit your dreams and goals?
Or is that going to lead to burn out?
2.) Rich Dad Poor Dad: What the Rich Teach Their Kids About Money That the Poor and Middle Class Do Not!
Rich Dad, Poor Dad was a HUGE breakthrough book for me. I learned so much!
It is such an easy and fun read too.
This book really shifted the way I look at money. It also motivated me to read many of the other books in the series.
It changed the way I look at business and the way that I approach entrepreneurship and finances.
It is motivating to me because I felt like I really didn’t understand money at all.
I had a lot of “poor dad” type belief systems that were suddenly brought into the light, and that inspired me to continue my financial education.
By feeling more inspired to learn more, as I learned more, I started having more success and that helped motivate me to continue the journey.
This one is a MUST for anyone trying to get out of the rat race, take control of their own time, spend more time with family and friends, give more to their churches, communities, and have more money for the things that you want in life.
