Joshua Tree Low-Key
There is nothing quite like camping in the desert!
Get away from it all, clear your head, reconnect with the magic of nature on this 5 acre nature preserve.
Just 20 minutes from the north entrance to Joshua Tree National Park.
Close, but not too close.
Far away from people and the hustle and bustle, but not too far to where you are in the middle of nowhere.
Beautiful sunsets and sunrises.
Star-gazing like you can only experience out in the desert, away from the city light pollution.
Town is about 15-20 minutes away so you can get supplies. There are plenty of restaurants and Dollar Tree/Dollar General/Family Dollar stores.
The roads are dirt, so 4WD is recommended, but not necessary as long as you stay on the packed dirt and don’t go off into the soft sand.

Buying 5 acres in the desert, putting a shipping container or tiny home and living off-grid has been a dream of mine for many years.
This was a big first step.
Elena and I took the kids out there and flew some kites, and then buried some treasure for our guests to dig up and have a little something to take home with them!
There are two, maybe three different buried treasures on the property! I don’t remember if we buried three, but pretty sure there at least two 🙂
We haven’t put a tiny home or shipping container yet, so it is still just raw land, so it is pristine and actually a nature reserve.
One day I hope to have a solar charging station, e-bikes, a golf cart, and a frisbee golf course setup.
Keep checking back over the months/years and I will update this post as I update the land.
In the meantime, if you just want to get away from it all and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the desert, book a few nights at Hipcamp Listing for Joshua Tree Low-Key.
