Hello and Welcome to Find Your Flow!
This website is designed to provide you with tools, information, resources, interviews, music, videos and more to help you Find Flow in everything that you do!
“What is Flow” you ask? Good question!
It is sometimes referred to as “in the zone“.
You may have had the experience of having so much fun with something that you lost track of time.
Or maybe you can think of a time that everything just seemed to work out for you. Almost as if things just fell into place almost magically.
Are you ever “in the right place at the right time“, or do you know someone that somehow always is?
Perhaps you know that if you do certain things, (like driving, running, swimming, or some other activity) you can actually do it, even without thinking? And you probably really enjoy doing it because you can do it so effortlessly that you able to sort of, ‘space out’ and just enjoy the process right?
Well, what if there was a way that you could start to feel this exciting, energizing sensation of flow now, and increase this feeling of positive emotion with proven methods. If you’re anything like me then you probably enjoy learning, reading and getting better at things. It doesn’t really matter if the things that you like are different than the things I like, because there are specific patterns that can be applied to the actual process of learning that can help you to learn faster and apply the information or skill more proficiently.
One way to do this is to make sure that you are getting the best information possible about your area of interest. If you want to make more money, getting free advice from broke people probably isn’t going to get you where you want to be. If you want to run a marathon, training with a couch potato likely won’t do you any good. You must get the best coaching and mentoring that you can gain access to, whether it is in the form of books, audio CD’s, DVD’s or personal mentors that are doing what you want to be able to do.
This site is designed to bring experts in different fields together in one place so that we may gain in depth knowledge from each professional about their particular specialty, as well as broadly across many subjects. This will allow us to notice patterns that can be applied to the flow process, and as we connect with people who are more advanced in our particular field of interest, they will be able to provide examples or advice on getting to that next level.
For example, if you like cooking, you could let me know that and I may be able to get a culinary expert to share some tips on getting into flow while cooking. There are certain steps that this chef will likely take that can be applied to experiencing flow in other activities such as 1. Preparation; having the food sliced and diced, measured out and ready to go. 2. Having a goal or final idea in mind (a specific dish or a flavorful effect). 3. Being able to get instant feedback during the process (tasting as you go).
Well, these are three elements that can be applied to many other activities that will also help with achieving flow.
So, there is a lot to cover and I want to tell you right now, this is not some overnight success get rich quick type of philosophy. In fact, it is about enjoying the process. Therefore, it is a lifelong process that will continue to reward you as you practice. The more you apply the principles to each area of your life, the more you will be able to experience flow. And themore flow that you experience, the more flow you will want to experience.
